I think Adrian is getting confused. The Starsky and Hutch 3000M was in fact introduced mid 1975 but the limited "Gold" Edition was still available till early 1978.

Confused...I was looking for a reason for a earlier reg car and it being perhaps in Jersey ...and re-plated.
Nothing about a grafted on back end.
