The Mk1 Granturs - chassis FS/120 is for sale does anyone have an opinion on it? It looks good and also the seller says he has homologtion details but I didnt think the Mk1 qualified for FIA papers?

The seats are a modern version, and no bumpers but they often arent present - what else is dodgy?

Dash panel and dials, controls, etc. Do like the finish, but would have done the interior in a dark blue.

mmm interesting, the speedo is km etc but the instruments can be replaced, theres no headlining just painted f/g. He says he has papers?

Yes, anything can be fixed. You need to know the source, willing to send the money, etc. MKIs did not have a headliner. Not sure I would like my passenger in charge of my indicators, though??

Very good!
Wrong bonnet badge and chrome strip...Atleast it has something, though. The steering wheel is nice with the TVR centre cover.

Was the bonnet ironmongery different on the early cars- it's actually 1958? I've tracked it down it was RFV422 before it was rebuilt. It was in good nick before so not too sure why it was redone.

The very first were built with out the stiffener above the road wheel at the front and were smooth. Later cars have this treatment both front and rear.
A 1958.... Think not. This one was built after mine, and my bonnet has the stiffeners.

Filby's book says RFV 422 is early 1959.

I must admit I wondered how a good quality MK1 appeared in Belgium.

Could be an interesting project surely the details such seats dash etc can be easily changed back to the original style.

"carte grise francaise" this is only the French equivalent to the "V5c"

What car did the Grantura MK1 instrumentation come from? There's lots on the 2 onwards but not the first 100

DeLorian instruments? I heard they were Briggs & Stratton.
