A question asked in another thread so thought I would start a fresh topic.
How accurate this information is I dont Know if you look at 1969 there are only 7 cars taxed or sorned. This makes me think that there could be a few more cars still hidden away in "barns" garages etc waiting to see the light of day.
But lets say the 337 is correct who else on here has a 72 - 79 TVR car that is neither taxed or sorned I have one so thats 338.

Hello.
Does anyone know the numbers of 3000M and Taimar models still on our UK roads please? The Howmanyleft website doesn't have the details for these models alas.
Many thanks in advance.
If you look at TVR by year 1972 to 1979 inclusive you will see that there are 240 cars sorned and 97 taxed at the 4th quater of 2013 so a total of 337 cars this will include some Vixens but mainly the 3000m 3000s 1600m and the Taimar. It wont include cars that are stood in garages not taxed and not sorned. So not many really I think the total number of TVRs registered in this timescale would have been somewhere around 2000 or pehaps a little less.Does anyone know the numbers of 3000M and Taimar models still on our UK roads please? The Howmanyleft website doesn't have the details for these models alas.
Many thanks in advance.

Quite a lot were registered in 1980/1 (especially with the return of a quantity of 3000S from the USA, that failed importation), the last Taimar was registered in 1984.) There are a quite number of M series cars registered with V and W plates. Finding out actual numbers will be quite hard.

Hi David I didn't include 1980 as the Tasmin was on sale by this time so would have distorted the figures as there is no way to know what model the car is.plasticpig72 said:
