Is the ad genuine? Looking at the other stuff he has for sale I doubt it! The old 'selling for a friend' trick? The trouble is someone's going to get diddled.

LOL, sadly I think you are way too late. The vendor must have seen your comment, as there are now around 20 tractors of various types advertised. Be interested to understand how this particular scam works biggrin

It's all to easy you just have to get a e bay account with by now listed and lift pics of items of sale websites etc I know as he was trying to sell some of my tractors!!! He will get a few days to rip some one off . But if it's to cheap it's not a bargain !!!!!!!! But I had farmers ringing me up thinking it was a bargain as I said ebay need reports sent in but he will no doubt make a killing. Richard

Yes it is a scam....
I sold the car last week and have reported this scam to ebay but still they do nothing about it.
They are quick to take your money but drag their heels over something like this.

There's a fraud trial early next year where the scammer did similar on eBay to this guy. Sell stuff you don't own with payment direct and never deliver/give a false address for pickup. He will be aiming to just get deposits and disappear. The scammer even set up a website doing the same and 'sold' crossflow race and FF1600 stuff worldwide.

One option would be to do a buy it now on one of the items, eBay should then give the sellers address and email and if not request it from eBay. Leave major -ve feedback and get eBay to cancel the transaction.
This would ideally be for the owner of the Vixen to do or the lads that have the tractors.

All his 75 items are classified ads so there is now buy it now option.
Classified Ads connect buyers and sellers, who then complete the sale outside of eBay. Therefore there is no ebay protection over payment, and no feedback.

But for me, Dutch, to sell things on Ebay UK it is nearly impossible to get an account
.
I must have 10 positive feedbacks and sold many items before I am allowed to offer my things in UK. ( the chicken and egg story )

I do not know how it works, but the scammers can do whatever they like.

Yep, a nightmare in the making for the buyers. It looks like the E Type has 'gone' already as well as several others.

They are all still there. Can't believe ebay have let the scams go on for so long. They must know about it with all of the reports that have been lodged against these fraudulent items
I should imagine that there are several people going to be out of pocket because of this scxammer.

Maybe because the persons who put some car ad on eeebay also pay money for the ad I believe? and even when its scam it brings in some money for eeebay I guess, but still strange.
