Vixen S3 crossflow dipstick needed.

I need a dipstick for my restoration Vixen.
The engine is a standard 711M 1.6 xflow, with the rear sump bowl and just has a very short tube sticking out:

I bought a new dip stick for my 711 from Burtons. It comes with a collar which grips the inside of the tube. I'm running a cast ali sump without a conventional bowl so I had to cut to size but should be fine for the standard bowl.

On my 711 theres a hose on the short pipe
that's coming out of the engine block.
And inside is a flexible distick like a slim spring.
If you like I could take a photo...

I wonder if that setup will fit my existing short pipe - that's just a rubber tube, isn't it?

Mind you, the new one from Burtons is cheaper than that eBay stick.

Yes, with a short metall sleeve on top.
I swapped mine last year for a piece of fuel tube,
because the old one was broken. Works fine.
