Can anybody enlighten me on this subject?

What was the mechanical difference between an American build Griffith 200/400 VS. the approximately 20-30 English build Griffith 400

Thanks

Early griff 200 had the beetle back body and the MGB Banjo type rear diff.

The Later Griff 400 had the Kamn Tail bodywork and the Salisbury differential

UK Griff 400's were also badged as 200's with Kamn Tail and Salsbury differentials. just to confuse matters

Many early 200's over the years have been re-engineered with the later Salsbury diff from the later cars.

Over the production I dare say that their would have also been all manner of minor detail improvements to wiring, radiators, header tanks etc etc.

Philpot: Yes but some where also LHD

Dollyman: in the new set up with the Salisbury axle - then the drive shafts etc. must have been stronger also? Off difficult to compare when the early version was a live axle.

Thanks for your contributions!
