I know this has been discussed many times before - this is one very good thread on the subject from back in 2014.

However, I'm curious as to whether anything has moved on in the last 5 years in terms of improvements for :

vertical link & trunnion (or alternative to trunnion)
stub axle (heavier duty)

I have found this front bearing spacer kit offered by Revington TR - https://www.revingtontr.com/product/rtr3463k/name/...

It claims to reduce the risk of bending stub axles during hard cornering and also reduces brake pad knock back. It sounds like a simple but effective solution. Has anyone fitted this and if so any feedback?

There are several options available to strengthen the front.
Switching to un drilled uprights is one option and increasing your strip maintenance regime to check clean and lubricate.
Secondly larger stub axle and larger bearings as sold by

I Have seen one car where the person who is working on re building a V8Tuscan SE has done his own version that he has developed over many years on various race cars and has applied on the TVR however this is not commercially available and wont be.

Then if you speak to Nigel Reubins he can supply you with what he builds for the race cars and if they can survive the way the Griffiths are raced will survive anything.
On my Vixen i went with one style and the Tuscan with Nigels.
