Webasto sunroof refurb - easy / hard?
Discussion
I need to replace the exterior vinyl on my sunroof - has anyone tackled this?
How easy is it to remove the sunroof from the car? I have a row of 5 or 6 screws in the headlining just behind the sunroof - do I just undo these?
Am I going to end up with a pile of springs and cables?
What is the best material? - I'm going to the classic car show at the NEC in November and intend to get some from Woolies who will be there.
Any advice would be welcome.

Have a look at www.minifix.supanet.com , it is a page about 'M's but does cover rebuilding the sunroof.
Take a look at October's Classic Cars Mag (the one that's out now) - page 106 - there's an article on a guy who is described as the guru on Webasto sunroofs.
It says that there's more than 150 parts to a Tudor Webasto roof so go carefully. They do DIY reapir kits too though.
The guy is Ron Ford of R&S Coachbuilts in Blackheath. Phone 0208 858 4312.
Might be worth a phone call before you get too stuck in.
Good luck
