Just seen this on an auction web site, massive barn find of classic cars.

No documentation

We DO NOT have any documentation for any of the vehicles and will not engage in attempting to locate documents for any of the vehicles in this auction. Please be aware that the registration numbers on the vehicles have not be confirmed as belonging to the vehicle they appear on – as they may have been retained by a previous owner. Please take note that you will be bidding on the vehicle NOT the registration number. No claims will be entertained with reference to “mis representation” eg: Wrong model or make in the description, etc . ALL bidders must satisfy themselves through either a personal viewing or their own research that the “vehicle” is what they believe it is.

The first unknown on page 2, is it a Toronado?

Also a Trident is in the lots.

I think the unknown kit car is a Falcon Caribbean - I've sent a link to Tony Stanton so he can pass on to the Rochdale / Ashley community.

I like the Trident - someone more skilled than me could rebuild it with a new Vixen chassis

May not be that easy, The car may have been subject to an insurance claim and now no longer exists

If the vehicle is not the owner's to sell via the auction, then you can get your money back from the auctioneers. Prospective buyers will check the car, the VIN, carry out an HPI check. If you look on the DVLA sites, the TVR registration plate is recognised and seems to be apply to the car, so you should be able to have it registered in your name as the successful bidder with that number. If there is doubt, and following type approval it would go on a Q plate, and be worth less, which a buyer would factor into any bid. If the vehicle belongs to a 3rd party, then you will just claim for a refund from the auctioneers.

Some interesting money pits, I mean cars. The E type or the Jensen might return a profit I guess. The rest (I didn’t look at all of them) don’t look worth the effort.

interior is shot, chassis most likely too, paint is shot and its a model with a 2l pinto...body is Raped" by fitting a sunroof.
even rare, who wants a pinto in a wedge?

value? next to zero.....maybe good for some parts..but which?

Not everything is that logical
Sometimes the desire to own a TVR takes over rather than counting pennies
I think it would be great if a father and young son or daughter bought the car to restore together and enjoy the journey of learning

But what do i know?
