Model Confusion
Discussion
Just looking at ads on the web from this months 'Practical Classics' mag, and came across this:
"1985 'C' TVR Taimar (Tuscan), 4.7 litre Gurney Eagle engine, Aston ZF gearbox, full roll cage, Compomotive alloys, F.I.A. fuel tank, rose jointed suspension, Jaguar back axle, 2,500 miles from new £15,995 UNIQUE!"
Seen on www.tittyhomotorco.com"
Confused....??!!!
Is this a special or a home build?

Right I'll grab my Anorak...
Aparently it was built as a special order for a guy who wanted to race it. The body is extended by several inches between the door and front wheel arch to accommodate the larger engine. I hear that whilst it goes well in a straight line the handling is a bit wayward (probably needs setting up). I think there was a feature on it in Sprint a couple of months ago. Matt

To my knowledge it was not built by the factory, over the years many TVR specials have been home-brewed in peoples garages, it may look interesting but at that price it should do!!!! (for that sort of money you could buy an immalculate 3000S Turbo, or an M Turbo and have change for a standard 3000S!!)
