I was told that the anti roll bar on Vixens is Triumph, & that a GT6 one is a good upgrade. But I've bought one, and it doesn't fit.
Can anyone help?

I presume you tried one of the specialists first.

If not you're always better off trying them first and they are quite often cheaper. Try Adrian Venn, Steve Reid or David Geralds

This might sound daft, but how does it not fit?

I recently ordered a Herald ARB from Rimmers, they sent a 1" Dia bar because the smaller one I had was not available. The only problems were the new Triumph drop links which were 90 degrees out. This was sorted with a pair of stilsons and a Mig welder. Everything fitted okay. Probably easier to get those items from a TVR specialist though.

I'll measure the differences tonight, but the most obvious thing is that the ends are too close together, so when the drop links are fitted to the bottom wishbone instead of being vertical they are at about 45 degrees

I recently found a chap who races spitfire's and other triumphs.

The chap has a website called Wolfitt Racing. He has a rosejointed droplink conversion which looks as if it could solve those triumph - tvr problems

I did say look,,, as if they would do the job...

At least you wouldnt have to put a torch onto them and twist them around to the right angle.

Just adjust the rosejoints to face in the opposite direction.

Thanks for the lead, I've emailed Wolfitt to see if they can help. I'll post any progress I make.

I had the same problem on my Tuscan V8 !! I upgraded it with a 1" dia bar and didn't fit !!
I heated the corners of the bar till red hot, bended it carefully and the problem was solved.
Don't cool it with water !! Cooling has to go slow to keep the torsion strenght.

Adrian Venn does rose jointed droplinks for the M series as I bought some for my 3000S.

They may well fit the Vixen or if not he may have some Vixen ones.

I am currently trying to upgrade the bar on my Vixen to a 1".

It looks exactly the same except the length on the arms are a little shorter???
