I really don't need another barn find project, but a Vixen came up for sale on the local auction site. It seems to be one of the original S1s with the MG engine, but it's kind of hard to tell if it is truly an original or if it is a later swap. Is there any tell-tale signs you can judge from pictures alone? It does have the peculiar tail lights and clearly has the MG engine... but I also have no idea what these are worth. It's an odd car - has British plates and was never legalized here and was clearly abandoned for a long time, so I don't know if it has historical significance being one of the interim MG cars - or if it's just a junker. Any thoughts? I can post the auction pics if it helps.

For what it's worth - the VIN seems to be VX185B, plate VMC 491G. Very curious.
