Hmmm, we know of a post-box Red one (Sarah's) and a Bergundy one which came to the Bristol meet in May this year.

Anyone know any more ?

A chap called Ian Bannister owns a beautiful yellow Vixen but he lives in Yorkshire.

What plate was it - Ians is TVR 76 or 79 or something like that.

I want one - the Vixen is a superb trck-day / hill climb car.

I used to use one for daily commute, 30 odd miles round trip. If we could afford it we would have another now. Missis can't drive the 400 but got on well with the Vixen

This is 'Banners' car, at Zolder this year before a valve dropped in the head.

I know of 3 other yellow Vixen/Tuscan V6s in the UK, it could have been any of them.

It was probably Neil Sangsters as he lives in Bristol and owns a Yellow Vixen.

It certainly wasn't Trevor Jasper's Yellow shed, this is still resting after a nasty incident at Oulton park at the end of last season....

John Upham (listed as help line for S2,S3 and S4) has a very nice Yellow S3, he lives in Surrey so it might have been him. I've got a 68 S2 Yellow with some cracking in the paint which I'm steadily restoring whilst running but I hope it was still in the garage.

I currently own a Clan Crusader which was rebuilt by Ian Bannister. If his preparation on the Clan is anything to go on, his Vixen will be superb.

I took that Clan down to a tub & started again, Used it for work every day, but am 6ft 1"& not skinny, I lowered the floor an inch or 2 under drivers seat to give me sufficient headroom.!! CAR WAS ONLY 41" HIGH !!
I have hillclimbed & sprinted the Vixen for 3 years,in Midland Speed Championship, had to lower the seat a touch in that to get enough 'headroom' with helmet on !!!
The Vixen handles really really well, but doesn't turn in like the Clan does !!

Hi Ian

I have heard differing stories about the engine in the Clan.I believe it was built by Northallerton Engineering. What was the Rev limit set?

Sounds like you drive mine recently too zef!

We've decided on the ridiculous and keep it too, and have a body off restoration/improvement at Adrian Venn's

Good luck with yours.

Nice to see a picture of a yellow vixen / tuscan.

My late father bought a yellow Tuscan V6 new from the factory in 1970 or 71.

The VRM was CTC 747J. He loved it.

Does it still exist? I have a couple of old pictures which might be of interest if the car is still alive.
