I have put a 302 5,0 HO into my 3000M-75 so far everything looks well, i havent started it yet hopefully this summer. But first of all i had to cut out 15 meters in the chassie due to rust and replace, and then some new engine mounts chevy 350 heavy duty rubber.Differential and axles comes from scorpio cosworth(will it hold?),gear box T-5 original.Brakes infront are volvo 4-pot caliper with saab vented discs,at rear mitsubishi discs with alfa romeo caliper.I also had to put in a hydrualic clutch the wire couldnt pass trough the headders, steering wheel is now on left side.So a new dash board is getting done in carbon with autometer sport comp instruments.Does any one have any idea about hinges to the hood to make it open 90 degrees, thanks in advance for any idea.

Check this out www.gisworkshop.com/tvr/ there is an idea for modifying the hinge there.

Your car sounds interesting, did you do this in the UK?

Oops i forgot 3154tm, the headders are not really headders if they were the pipes should be at the same length. So its not really done perfectly but they are at least larger than standard and they were made by a friends friend.

Is the Ford Cosworth (24 valve V-6) and easy fit into a 3000M? I'm not sure how closely related to the 'Essex' V6 this engine is.

Is it any lighter?

I was thinking of fitting a 24V Cosworth but it would appear that the heads (being a four-camshaft unit) foul the chassis. If anyone has fitted one, I'd be interested to hear about it too.
