O.K. I know it's sacrilege but who has (even temporarily) replaced their M Series leather-bound wheel with a woodrim Moto Lita equivalent ? If so would e.g Ebay item 110079763836 fit? What is the boss size ?

Am going back to the funny farm now so please be quick with your replies......

I had a Triumph Spitfire boss in the garage which fitted perfectly on my 3000S.

I think the 14" wheel would possibly be too big. Now I'm sure I have a 13" new old stock one somewhere. Must dig it out and include it in my imminent massive ebay sale sTeVeR

Thanks Steve, I've meanwhile found a wheel and hub on Ebay. If your massive sale includes any "S" bits I'd like an Emailed "prEbay" list too please !

It would take me a week at least to list the parts etc that will be on ebay. There will be everything from Grantura hinges, badges, heaters, fuel tanks,doors and door window frames,door handles, Tuscan Diff mounts ,drive shafts,bumpers, seats, a complete Taimar breaking for parts with perfect chassis, undamaged bodywork including tailgate, bonnet and doors. 3000S I heard you say, I am selling a superb complete car which has had so much work done in any spec you wish.I have new stainless side screens, stainless bumpers,rubber bumpers, ally radiator with twin fans, Compomotive FH split rims and a set of Compomotive SE Turbo split rim wheels. Ally and stainless fuel tanks, Newly reconditioned and never run 3.1 Swaymar engine with some very trick bits, 5 speed T5 fully reconditioned gearbox with special gearbox mount and Flowtech ally bell housing.Brand new Salisbury Powerlock diff. Early Sprint mags including the pre Sprint newsletters, Filby's books,Grantura workshop manual, Tuscan/Griffith workshop manual the list is enormous sTeVeR

Oohmegosh, thanks Steve, there's enough there to get hundreds of +ve feedbacks on Ebay is my guess.
What about that tasty sounding recon engine - how much fitted ?

Sorry to drag up old threads. Curious as to how much BHP you believe the 3.1 Swaymar engine is putting out. Looking at buying a very similar engine to swap with my near standard one that goes damn well (this way it'll save me playing with the standard engine which I could revert back to). Would also be interested as to what power others are extracting from a non turbo (and turbo) 3000S. At what point do you need a stronger gear box?

sTeVeR would appreciate it if you could advise (pm) how much you sold your swaymar for to give me an indication as to the value of mine (well the one I'm getting close to buying). I realise this is a potential how long is a piece of string type question.

Are your bumpers and screens long gone?
