A very good original (unrestored)Tuscan V8 from first or second owner with a little race history will do.........50.000 pounds
An original one in need of complete restoration but with the good paper work will do .......45.000 pounds.
So, find a good one !!!
Is the 4 in the last sentance a typo. I would have thought it maybe should be a 1.An original one in need of complete restoration but with the good paper work will do .......45.000 pounds.

A nice original 289 Tusacan would fetch around 25-30K. The first item above very probably does not exist.
Martin Lilley's Tuscan V8 Short wheel base is for sale at Wire Wheel in Florida for about $80,000.

This is about the best and most original you are ever likely to find and in the pictures it looks just nicely worn in!
Check out the pictures. It is so nice that, even at that price, I did a quick check of my assets to make sure I couldn't afford it!
Of course, if the dollar continues to drop........

The cage is a recent addition, as are the rear screen mods - recent as in they were not there in 1981

On the Vixen, I spoke with the guy who has it for sale and he has a few folk coming to see it today. It sounds like its been quite well built and it's only overseas work commitment and lack of storage.
The SWB SE I could be tempted to sell my Sagaris to fund, but not sure how much would need to be spent to bring it to the standard I would want. The car would not I suggest stand close inspection - too many odd things been done to it.

Why short wheel base - thought all Tuscan were on a stretch Griff chassis to make it more stable?
You thought wrong. When the Lilley family bought TVR in 1965, the name of the cars was changed shortly afterwards, from Grantura to Vixen and from Griffith to Tuscan. The LWB (90 inch) chassis was developed later and the cars thus became the Vixen S2 and the Tuscan V6/V8.
