Dear All, I'm looking for races, results and pictures of any TVRs (Griffiths and 1800S/Granturas) from 1965, 1966 and 1967. The drivers would have been Jim Boothby, Tommy Entwhistle, Martin Lilley, Gerry Marshall and John Wingfield.

Can anyone help or point me in the right direction?

John Bailey might have some in his archives.. email me for his contact details, if you don't have them.

Gregor. I have 1 or 2 old black and white originals of your dad racing MMT I think at Brands but the best place to find what you are looking for is Ferret Fotographics. I just did an internet search and came up with some wonderful pictures of little furry vermine but finally found the website. Phone number 01453 543243. www.ferret1.co.uk. Tell him who your dad was and he will be very interested to talk to you. sTeVeR ps just tried the link and for some reason his home page is not working. try www.ferret1.co.uk/fwanted and that will get you into his wanted page with rest of website working

Thanks for that Steve, I can't access either link on Ted's site. I do have a few of MMT (whatever happened to her?) but I have some of the Grantura/1800S and I'm not sure if they are Martin L, John W or Dad. Without going itno the specifics (as I'm not sure if common knowledge) there are two very popular books being re-written at the moment and both are in need of TVR pictures.

Try doing a yahoo search for black and white motor racing photographs and the 8th link should be ferret fotographics and that gets you into his wanted page. I am not sure he will allow you to publish his photos but you can only ask. Steve

Gregor.

Your dad is the reason i am doing what i am doing in the car i am doing it in.

I wish you would hurry up with that DVD.

I found a copy of G&T the other day and was pissing myself listening to the dry wit and banter between gerry and his greatest mate.

here is what I have found on various websites over the years plus 2 which everyone needs to see. one with your dad doing what he did best in old nail and another enjoying the spoils.

plus one of the best days in my life.

Neil.

Hello Tim !

Nice to hear from You !
Did You have some Pictures of the Turbo I bought from You in 2005 ?
I only know the ones from Wiscombe Hillclimb ...
I also really like Your Paintings ... how much would it cost to paint me something
from one of my Fotos in 40x 50 Centimeter ?

My e-Mail is :
axel-springer@gmx.de

In January I ´ll have my 40´th birthday ,
and this could be a nice Present !

Please let me hear from You !
Axel

p.s. After some problems here and there, the TVR is now really a dream to drive,
and everyone likes the roaring sound !

Its one of my most prized posessions Tim. and not for sale at any price.

The photo was taken at Brands in 2003 on the 31st august. I went to see Gerry having a few laps of the track in BB. it was quite an evocotive day because Bill Blydenstein also turned up for a natter. I remember Gerry being quite full when talking about his great mate Tony who was quite ill with cancer at the time.

X-mas is a time for reflection. We have lost a good few legends in the last couple of years. Club racing is a poorer place without them.

Time to raise a glass for them.

Cheers.

N.

Hi Axel!

Great to hear from you again. I'm so glad you're enjoying it and getting it sorted. Its such a cool looking car.
Maybe I'll buy it back from you one daywink

In terms of photos, I do have others of the car but not on my computer here so I'll have to get them.

I'll email you about the painting idea.

Cheers, Tim
