starter motor Vixen

I have a TVR Vixen with a ford 1600, M711 block.
Is the starter motor the same as the Mini before 1985 (Lucas LRS100) ?

It depends what bellhousing you have. Some have a 2 bolt fitting for the starter and others 3. It will be a Ford starter and easiest way to get the correct one is to try one of the specialists or take the old starter to a Motor Factors and tell them it's from a Ford Capri/Cortina/Escort with a M711 block.
