2500m Chrome bumpers
Discussion
As you may know the chrome bumpers were only fitted to the late 1972-early 1974 M-series cars after which the rubber bumpers were fitted. I'm told that the chrome bumpers won't fit a lot of the later M-series cars without some modifications because of changes in the way the body was made around the mounting area. To my knowledge, no one is remaking the bumpers because of the high cost involved in tooling and reproduction. I've been trying to get them reproduced for a couple of years for my customers but the cost in doing so is outrageous. Your other bet would be to get some bumpers off a Triumph 2000 Saloon, cut them, cap them, and chrome them because that's where the bumpers were originally sourced. Or,if you can find a parts car with an old set that can be rechromed you would be fortunate.
