Thanks for that. Does this mean it is unique to TVR ??

Yes strangely it is unique to TVR and even more specific to whichever shock absorber is fitted

You are truly a font of knowledge. Do you have them in stock (Spax shocks)??

Thanks Adrian,

The Aluminium top collets are in good condition and do not need replacing. One of the (approx) 25mm deep steel retaining cups is probably serviceable, but heavily corroded. As part of a rebuild I would like to replace them both. Good to know you have them. Next time I'm venturing down the blue road I'll call in with my shopping list......

Adrian, this is very drastic action to take. Please do not do it on my account. Would you like us to have a word with Mrs V ???

Anyway, thanks - I'll send you some pictures later.

Adrian, thanks for looking. Case need, I'll just have to buy one of the M series cups and get the hole machined out to fit the Spax dampers.

The quest continues........

Which model Spax are you after?

The stack of parts I received with my S3 included a pair of Avos (which I have added to to make a set) and a pair of Spax.

The Spax are unused. They have a welded bottom plate and removeable top plate (so not height-adjustable).

Cheers - Simon
