I know there are people who've used Vixens for road and tarmac stage rallying... But off road? I think you'd need to examine the strength of the wishbones / mounts and rear uprights before your concerned with ride height...

OK suit yourself... Just my thoughts.

Looking at the site most vehicles are fairly well modified. 7:1 compression etc, seam welded full undertray etc.

As the phrase goes - "I can resist anything but a challenge." - but are you too late for 2010?

they didn't get as far as that. The site says there are places left.

I don't know a number for you!
Having said that, I'd go for the max increase in ride height that I could achieve with springs & shocks & changing the suspension settings and then add more tyre.

You'll probably want to stiffen the chassis with as much cage as you can find.

A friend did Paris-Peking and while he had nothing but compliments about the hospitality he encountered, he did mention that some of the roads were... um, ...trails.
If memory serves, one such trail parallelled the RailRoad in China for some distance.
You are, in part, at the mercy of the weather.

...forgot!
Remember that the steeper the angle you run your universal joints at, the more speedily they'll self-destruct.
