Hi,
see my post
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... Fuel tank required.
I can confirm though that DG are the only TVR specialists that have stock or indeed can supply a tank these days.
If did not need a tank within the next 7 days I'd use Alloy Racing Fabrications.
Good luck.

Interesting VixeM, looking at your link you seem to have done your best to find somebody(excuse my english)to avoid buying parts from a TVR specialist. Although we are in France and really specialise in pre war Bugattis I have 2 TVR,s and would never try to buy parts from anybody than a TVR specialist. You seem to have gone out of your way to try to avoid that. I do not understand. If you had an MG would you buy parts from an Triumph dealer even if they were cheaper and somebody on the internet had told you they were thw same.If we needed a fuel tank ( a safety and public liability thing in France) we would not buy from any other than a specialist. Why did you not buy from DG or any other TVR specialist in the first place? Just a girl but with a lifetime experience
You pay your money and take your choice? Ever heard that expression. Maybe I'm dealing with the wrong people but haven't found many "TVR Specialists" very helpful. Cue the flaming onslaught.
In fact Bugattiwhatever if you read carefully he states his reasons for looking elsewhere... I think having the ability to specialise in pre war Bugattis (relevance?) might give anyone a different perspective on life.
I'm pretty sick of these "only use a specialist" threads... I'll support specialists when they're helpful and provide a service I'm happy to pay for - not because some keyboard jockey on a forum TELLS me to do so...

As you say sir, you pays your money, but its sounds like you're not having the best of days withthe tone of your post.
Personally, I like to support good specialists because I feel if I don't, next time I need a specialist part or advice they may not be around. I have had excellent service of two of the most frequently quoted speciliasts on here in the last 12 months and will continue to support them based on that experience, but I appreciate, not everyone will have been so fortunate.
An expression I've already used on another post today, but I feel its equally relevant, you have to kiss a lot of Frogs...may'be you've just kissed the ugly ones..........
just a second, niether of the specilaists I use are particularly pretty come to think of it.

Tut Tut Bernard, dont you think that's a tad harsh perhaps.. there was I thinking you were the perfect gent.

Oops, does that mean I've lost my status as a gentleman again again again?
John, under different circumstances I'd agree with you; yet BugattiRubbish only seems to post when she wants to impose her views on others.
Having purchased parts from several "specialists," I recognize that, as in any other industry, hacks and incompetents abound while masters of their craft are rare to find. I do think that Adrian and Steve Reid make tremendous contributions to our little world but others, who shall remain nameless, would be happy to sell us the worst garbage for top money. I know, they have some of mine.

Wait - did someone almost agree with me? I'm about to pass out.
Umm, yes! One might even say wholeheartedly. Picking the bad ones out of the bunch is about as fun as weeding the yard. By the way, which one's Pink? Oh, and while we're here, does anyone here have any pictures of Bert Zimmerman's car at Zolder?
