What is the difference between a Grantura mk 2 and 3

The Mk 2 has torsion bar suspension and 3 has wishbone suspension. IMHO you would choose the 3 every time. Adrian@
Quite. There is no comparison, the MkIII is a much better car with its independent suspension. The MkIII is potentially also much more valuable as it is THE car to have for FIA GTS11 (pre 66 under 2L class) racing. The later MkIIIs had 1800 MGB engines whereas I believe a MkII should have the anaemic 1600 MGA engine or possibly Ford sidevalve. On the other hand if the MkIII needs work the MKII may be a better financial bet. Personally I would not use either as a daily driver but I guess that depends on distances and local conditions.
