is there any way this might stll be eligible for car tax exemption????

short answer "no", slightly longer answer "probaly not" and full answer " not unless you can prove it was built before 1st Jan 1973". In fact nothing has changed since you asked the same question in August.

Steve was maybe a bit harsh...but your last post stated April, its now come forward to March. If it was early March and you could find it's build date (when it was completed)was in 1972 its plain sailing.

Bad news I,m afraid. Car was started 19/2/73. Originally Moss Green. At least now you know. sTeVeR

I know this topic has been left for a while, but I'm in a similar situation with a 3000M, VIN: 2614FM. If somebody can check the build date on this, I'd be most grateful (especially if it's good news!). Thanks all.

Well - that is technically illegal and you could face two charges. Changing the identity of a vehicle and fraud for not paying duty on a chargeable vehicle.

NOT the best advice.
