Battery in Vixen
Discussion
I basically got some lengths of 6mm 316 stainless steel round bar(50mm longer than the height of the battery , when battery is sat on the body.
Die a thread 25mm on each end of the rods(x2)
Place the battery on the body, mark 10mm past the edge of the battery on each side. Drill 6.5mm holes where you marked either side of the battery.
Use nyloc nuts on the underside of the body(inside the footwell)with oversize washer on the underside of the fibreglass.
Thread the bar through the body and put your nyloc and oversize washer on underneath.(get someone to hold the bars up through the body,so you can run plain nuts down to the body from the top. again using the over size washers. Clamp the two nuts together, form two upright rods.
Place your battery in between the rods.
You can now make a plate(?again out of stainless) so to clamp the battery. Using the clamping method with the nuts to grip the plate.
Hope this helps, and not too confusing
