Anyone use one ? Reason I ask is that I am having a roll-cage made and there will be a horizontal bar a few inches above the rear (luggage) floor. If it's a few inches higher I should be able to slide a spacesaver under it. Await your advice.

I keep an early Volvo S40 15inch, four stud spacesaver with a 114.3 pcd in my 3000M.

Sounds good. PCD on the Vixen is the same I think - 4.5".

So, the overall width of the tyre is only about 120mm ??

The tyre on my Volvo spacesaver is 125/90 15 which will give a 11.25cm side wall.

Thanks youngnick. All very helpful. I didn't phrase my question very well. I was wondering how high the tyre will be when it is lying horizontally.

Laid flat the tyre is approx 130mm but the highest point is the steel wheel at 150mm.
You may need diff. wheel nuts (or a spacer).
