Afternoon all.

I'm just doing the interior of my car and adding a radio and speakers. As I have four shiny new speakers (not sure where they came from) I did consider putting them all in, 2 in the back as normal and then adding the other 2, maybe, in the doors.

Does this fit? If so what do you use to protect the wire when going between car and door? And is there a preferred location on the door?

thanks
Rob

Impossible to say without pictures showing relationship/size.
Various ways to protect wires.

Hi Rob,
depending of the speaker size, not easy to fit them on the door I think, why not near the foot passenger(left) and on the other right side( not sure it is a good idéa but some plywood for a removable panel , carpet and some work could do), or near the center console switch on the 2 side??

Unless they are teeeny tiny speakers, theres no chance!! The window winder mechanism is in there dont forget! And if you have them sticking out into the car you wont be able to fit in the car...

I for a pait of 8" round speakers into the B pillars of my M... plus 2 tweeters in the dash... plus the two 8x9 coax speakers at the back.. Still cant hear the radio though! tongue out

I think you're right and thats with the water that will get in there too!

I'll stick to the pair in the rear for when I want to drive slowly and listen to the radio... I know, it won't happen often!

Cheers

I have a pair of speakers in the door, not very big about 5 inch, only there because the holes were already in the door cards. The position is not great as the seats/passenger/driver muffle them.
