Knew I'd seen it somewhere.

It was at the TRVCC Pre 80s Extravaganza this year.

Lovely colour, bloody hard to photograph though, biggrin

It is a great colour. I think possibly early 1970's Ford Escort Mexico.

When I spoke to the owner he told me the colour was a Lotus colour used on Elises.

You would be hard pressed to tell the colour difference between the Tuscan and the Vixen 1300 that were there.

The actual colour of my 1300 is Lotus Pistachio (Green) - original. Currently running with a modified 1500 Spitfire engine but thinking of swaping this to a usual upgraded crossflow engine. (Not happy with the carbs over the manifold which glows orange at high revs)

if you are going to the trouble of a swap, Then a 2.0 zetec is a bolt in swap and probably cheaper these days than building up a decent crossflow. The work will be the same so you might as well put something in there that will make it less fussy and more everyday useable.

Get the exhaust manifold ceramic coated and a heat shield installed. An engine swap will buy you new problems.
