I am considering putting my Taimar Turbo SE up for sale. Can anyone provide any sensible advice on values?

Thanks

Car was originally supplied by the factory in 1978 as a standard Taimar Turbo in grey with wolfrace wheels. The car was bought by Peter Hanbcock in 1981 who had the SE conversion carried out by factory in 1982. During the conversion the car got a black leather interior, compromotive split rims, full body arches and a wooden dash. At this time the car was also repainted red as it remains today. During it's life the car has carried various registration numbers including RED 216. The car is currently in very good original condition. It is sorn and has not been used on the road for about a year. Current genuine mileage of about 57,000. All history of the car is documented including correspondance regarding the factory conversion.

The car has appeared in sprint on a number of occasions and also displayed previously on the club stand at the NEC.

Car is completely standard with exception of boost retard system.

I dont want to be a pedant but how can it be in good original condition if it has been converted from an original Taimar Turbo?

Difficult one to value, but would have thought its value would fall short of a simailar condition original Turbo SE.

Some questions.
Does it have AC?
Has it had a body off restoration?
How much would you be happy with from a sale?

Then you'll have to show greater determination in resisting your urges. wobble

Didn't we have this whole discussion at least once already?

Well, just when you think the formerly wonderful parametric search function on this site is as bad as it could ever get, THEY fkING REMOVE IT COMPLETELY!!!!

I do think we've had a couple of discussions on how factory modifications affect originality, especially where original equipment options are concerned. I actually thought that at least one of these discussions centered around M-SE mods but I CAN'T FIND st!!!!!

I MUST have pictures to feed on! MUST! lick
did someone say something about resisting urges?

Adrian@. I was just about to comment on your "no comment" reply but you removed it !!!!!. Adrian with nothing to comment on a TVR Turbo has to be worth some comment in itself

As I have probably the only one in the USA, I'm no help. But I'm keen to drive it again soon. (last time was just over a year ago...)
