Clear picture of Grantura MK1 dashboard.

In reality, there is no such thing as a Grantura Mk1, only a TVR Grantura. Trevor never knew there would be a Mk2 when he made the originals. As with all TVR,s including the Sagaris the cars evolved car to car so there was not really "an original Mk1 dashboard layout". I have had a few early Granturas and have seen almost as many dashboard layouts on these cars. I have certainly never seen the dashboard layout above on an unmolested car. The very early cars has a rounded glove box but soon they evolved to have a dash which was similar to the layout used in Mk2,s and early Mk3,s. There are plenty of pics in various books of early dash layouts, have a look in Success Against the Odds and TVR the Early Years. Some of the early road tests had diagramtic drawings of the layout and the TVR Grantura Owners Manual has clear drawings. If I was clever enough I would scan some pics in but I,m not so you,ll have to look in the books

I have been on PH a long time!!! I don't have any TVRs at present, I should have kept 12KMA, but I know that I would have done nothing to it for the past 10 years, so it is probably better that it went to someone who was going to use it.
I will post more Grantura Mk1 images later today

Hi David, what are you doing in Switzerland? have they finally caught up with you and extradited?
William, I think that dash looks like someone customised it, not sure of its function other than to obstruct forward visiblity and personally dont like it. ps like the steering wheel

My Grandparents where from Switzerland. The pictures of white car 7/F/146 was sold by D/G in 2001. The last keeper was Mr. Roy J. The picture of the granny with the correct steering wheel and dash is mine...7/FS/114. Hope to have the blower motor fitted this year, as the lump is full built-up but no time to fit...too many other projects.
