Hazard Lights Relay for 3000M/Taimar
Discussion
Hello Forum,
Can someone help me out please with the part number/ID of the hazard lights (flasher) relay unit.
It's a 2 pin, but I'm sure I bought the wrong type as it only flashes one side when I switch on the hazards. Would be great to also point me to a supplier.
I have a Taimar and 3000M, and actually have a working unit but it's so old I can't recognise any ID/part number - so only 1 unit, but 2 cars.
Thanks in advance, Paul.

Unless this is electronic it will be a hot wire unit ...and as it is working on one side then would suspect that the switch is playing up ....to test this rock it back and forth to see if the contacts switch...there are 2 different versions of the switch fitted to the 3000M/Taimar (I rebuild can one, chrome surround) and there is an after market version of the later one available UNLESS you need to buy an OE switch as these are 39.00 plus each.

Yes Adrian, the contacts DO switch between left and right side when I play with the switch, but unfortunately not together.
Does that point to the switch in your opinion?
It is a new switch but just a standard hazard rocker with a light display that I bought from CBS for £8, along with the other switches I renewed when tidying up the console.
Perhaps I need something a little more 'sturdy'. I'm guessing you have some in stock although I'm not sure the type of switch you mention for £39+ - any link to a picture of these switches?
Thanks for your help

My switches are standard units..you most likely need to post a picture to here for all to see, as, IF I'm honest, the OE item have the same weakness too! My thoughts are that as with the standard item, the wattage being feed through any of these switches tend to heat the contact springs and make them weak so a new switch will cure the problem.
