because an S1 vixen with knackered outriggers needs about £12k spending on it to restore it!!!
Dont forget that this hasn't got a bolt on chassis!!

Sorry Neil once again your logic defeats me. How does the cost of a potential owner restoring it relate to a profit for the dealer?

Just go out and buy the car then!! its not as if you have showrooms of them to choose from.

My quip is with respect to the cars purchase price regards its current asking price and speculators who in essence are pushing values up away from real enthusiasts!!

If you are happy to pay a kings ransome for a car that needs significant chassis work and the body removing then crack on!!

I don't claim to know what margin a dealer would take but if significant then why do people not sell their cars direct? I purchased my Vixen from a dealer and don't feel they added any value to either the car or the process.

Moto.
Dealers usually offer good service, car prep, advice and spares supply and I have no issues whatsoever with them

Others are private individuals who buy up everything and sell for profit like a trader with very little else, no warranty and no protection afforded..

They are 2 totally different sets of individuals!!
