How did Noble beat TVR to the USA?

Having been fortunate enough to have ridden in the Tamora, the Tuscan and the M12.....
I'd take the Noble now, and when (if) P. Wheeler decides we are ready for the TVR's, get a Tuscan S. I prefer the styling of the TVR myself, but the Noble is a very special car indeed. The handling is unbelievable and the noise of those turbos is intoxicating.
Seeing as how the Noble is available, and the TVR isn't, I'd jump on a Noble (if I could)

At $73,000, it is a tempting proposition--I would liek to know that I could use the car year round (or most of the year) like a Porsche--is that asking too much?

Noble has found an enterprising way to come to the USA--selling their cars as component--just as Ginetta, Caterham, Ultima and Westfield have done. TVR really can't do that because of teh Speed 6 engine.
TVR is in a quandry--do they do the Lotus and sell 3,000 cars a year in the USA? If that happens (even 1,000 TVR's for the USA), what about the home market that has sustained TVR? At least Lotus has seen their Elise sales decline so that there is capacity to sell in the USA and UK. Further, Noble and Lotus are using EPA compliant engines. Hope Noble is selling a lot of M12's so that TVR gets the hint!

I have just found autocar mag wiv the 0-100-0 from july quote "While the noble impressed with a sub -10sec run ,the TVR simply blew a noble into next week by reaching 100mph in 8.08sec" and the noble does it in 9.40sec my Dad has the 0-100-0 test of the Standard Tuscan some where i will try and find it unless you already know it

I called them and they said the cars could not be sold in California. Completed cars were quoted at $73k, and about 6 weeks were needed to put in the engine and tranny and test it.
73K huh, If you buy a road and track or get sports car international, they usually have car's for sale in the very very back. The Noble is listed as 50K i beleive which seems a bit odd that when you called they said 73K.
Because Noble want to and TVR are not interested....? 
Seriuosly, TVR (Peter Wheeler) seem to be more than happy with their existing markets, without risking a venture into America IF however, the financial risks were shouldered by some other company. Ben samulson (ie sprint article) would appear to be interested.
But ultimately it could be they never sell in America, because they do not want to. No rule that TVR has to be a global car company. IT is a Private company after all, and private company owners can do whatever they want.
