Am planning to go to the Singapore GP this year. Anyone been? Looking for some advice on good seating, some 'must dos' while you're there etc. What do you recommend?

Any tips or advice is more than welcome!

Cheers

Dont know about the race but you've got to go to the four floors.

The four floors is Orchard tower, it's what you might call a 'night spot'. Well worth a look in just for the experience. It's known as the ' four floors of wes' you will be propositioned. I was told the higher the floor the higher quality and more expensive for the merchandise.
Some of them lovely looking ladies are not, but it's hard to tell!

I went in 2008.
Great atmosphere, especially in Qualifying.

Use the practice sessions to walk around the circuit and get pretty close to the cars as they go past to experience the noise. Certainly better for noise than at purpose-built tracks.

I sat in the cheap grandstand that overlooks the bay, not a bad place. But a better spot I think is near turn 5, I suspect with DRS there'll be some passing there this year.

Look out for Brazilians under orders crashing French trash into walls.

Thanks guys - I'm currently trying to work out why exactly I would spend a grand on two turn one grandstand tickets! Can't believe it's so expensive - would expect a sunbed on a yacht in the harbour (and a bj!) at Monaco for that.

Reckon I'll go for sometething cheaper - get the atmosphere and make sure there's a screen in view so that I can work out what's going on!
