Possible SIlverstone Race

The Bentley Drivers Club have a meeting at Silverstone on the updated National circuit on 13/14 August.

They are offering a slot on the sunday if anyone is interested. initially they are talking about a 15 min qually and a 20 min race but thats variable dependant on whats required.

To fill the grid up I'd probably look to talk to another club possibly Porsche to see about an intermarque challenge...

Details are basic at the moment,basically they are offering track time. They've quoted for a 15 min qually and a 20 min race, but could be longer race, 2 races 2 shorter races etc. they've quoted for a 15q 20r at circa £5600 inc vat.... so its a simple numbers game and can take upto 40 cars. an intermarque race might be interesting although the porsche racing club is at brands that weekend.

If anyone can think of any series to invite I'll drop them a line..


Its apparently a really good weekend, organised by the Bentley drivers club so should be a little different from our usual weekends

possibly look at inviting MG's and stuf too G? Some of them maybe there anyway in other races, and if the cost is reasonable then might get some interest. Also might be worth speaking to NSSCC chaps - they may fancy somewhere different?

I could be interested, though would need more details first really (Could I do it on the R888's to save slicks etc??)

G try the Marcos club they had 20 plus car grid a couple of weeks back at combe,i would think the B and C TVR's would have a lot of fun with them.

Just had an update from the bentley Club.

Sounds like an interesting weekend, and there is a race available to anyone that wants to enter on the 14th, on the national circuit.

the SRGTC race its a 30 min race and costs 285 quid

there is also an allcomers race that you can do for 95 quid ( 15 mins) and if you dont mind a wheel change... you can also do the Keston Pedmore challenge which is a 20 min race.

If your looking for signatures you could probably sign on on the sat as a marshall that will get you another one.

I only need one more to obtain my A lincence so i can race at spar, thats why I'm thiking about asking at snett if they have a race weekend they need marshalls for just to get the last one. Just need to find a cheap race weekend soonish

Shirley most of your race weekends are cheap compared to your dads? Or is it the weekends cost the same and the time between weekends is expensive?
