Advise on Tyre Pressures PLEASE...
Discussion
Unless someone on here is doing/has done the same series in the same car on the same track with the same tyres, it's v hard to generalise. On an oval, I presume that, even if you're not running w stagger, you'll be using different pressures in each of your 4 tyres.
Have you got any capacity for testing the car, tyres, circuit?

Have you got the scope to put bigger diameter tyres on the outside? That will make a big difference.
Measure up what you're got now, and hope that, regardless of the label on the sidewall, they're not the same circumference. If you could put wider tyres on the outside, so much the better.

I run a unusual tyre combo, for which no info was available, (9in slicks on a Sylva) and have had the car tyre pressure set by two different tyre manufactures, both came to the same conclusion, with the left front lower than the rest, they both did the same thing, all they did was keep adjusting the pressure until the tyre temp was constant across each tyre and the temp in each tyre as close as possible to the others. They had a nice expensive temp gauge but my little infra red one was nearly as accurate and as you are looking at the comparison betwen tyres absolute reading is not required, but you need to be quick, they had two tecs one on each axil so they got the temp as sone as the car stopped.
