seems silly to have spain and monaco together then they go across the pond then back to spain and then the rest of the european season.

I'm presuming that Turkey will get dropped and there will just be 20 races. Only problem is that would leave quite a gap between the the races either side of Turkey, but that's more of a nuance than a problem

Alonso brought big crowds, which actually goes at odds with the reason most races exist (crowds are very very low on the priority list everywhere else).

Although on that basis Britain could easily sustain two races, what with two champions competing and what appears to be a never ending stream of spectators willing to pay (we boost some of the Euro GP attendances as it is)
