For the first min or so i was almost convinced someone had "speeded up" that footage, but no, that's just a hugely powerful light aero car for ya laugh

Bit of a "pukka moment" at 8.03 also when he gets the rear wheels onto the loose on the outside of a bend and drifts it along looking over the edge of about a 10,000 foot drop yikes

It's a shame the course will be fully tarmac'ed next year - the whole fun of it was the compromise between a gravel car and a tarmac car. It was interesting watching the difference in technique between the two surfaces.

Agreed, there were a few times in that video where, on the gravel, i wondered if the "ignore the racing line, just get it turned pronto and welly it" rally technique might actually has been faster, considering the clearly massive accelerative capabilites of the car once in a straight line.

Also, i suspect due to the high altitude killing the boost response, but the last corner looks like he hardly tries to accel out of it at all??? (i assume the timing beam is to the "flag waving" man point??)

Absolutely mental wobble

As you said though, it's a shame it'll all be tarmac next year.
