Has anybody competed in Vodafone DMAX?
Discussion
I'm interested in in moving up a level in karting from just doing small races at my local circuit and due to the fact I can't afford to buy and run a competitive kart I thought that the vodafone DMAX seems right up my street
Just wondering if anybody has competed in it?
What are the costs and more importantly is it a good series to race in?
Any replies or advice would be much appreciated
Thanks in advance,
Tom

Yes I have. Cost is £150 per round for either enduro or sprint or £250 if you do both. Compared to ordinary pro-karts they are pretty exciting and because they have a centrifugal clutch the only thing to get used to is the additional grip and speed (although because they are two-stroke engine you have to be a bit smooth with the throttle).
The next round is at Sandown Park which is quite a little twisty circuit so isn't really the best place to get the most out of the karts but may therefore mean it's a good place to start.
