When did he say it and in what context?
Lewis he is getting a lot bad quotes eg this week following on from J V and Mansell comments on him he said
"I find it kind of funny," Hamilton told the BBC. "I'm not sure that anyone really cares what some of those people are talking about or their opinions. I think that if you have an opinion, just keep it to yourself."

His disragard for comments by former WC's and motorsport legends is one thing, but after making those type of comments, one can only draw the conclusion that like his idol he feel's that he is indestructable on the track. I have recently thought that his style of racing along with a few of the younger drivers have become nieve to the dangers of the sport. The current crop have seen many big crashes with the majority of drivers walking away. It's been sometime since we have seen a death in F1, (hopefully that trend will continue), but the way certain drivers are performing, Lewis included, that may not be the case.
His comments only show petulence and ingnorence. I appreciate that he is having a frustrating time but a change in attitude and a lil pateince would go a long way to improving his form and public relations.
Senna was driven and focused too but had a much better ability to evaluate a situation. This is the side of his idol he should be focusing on, not the belief of indestructability.

That's a brilliant quote from Hamilton.
I'm bored of racing drivers spouting the same boring garbage every time they're asked a question, in the same monotonous voice. Lets have some real answers to questions, not just answers that they've been told to say to please their sponsors.

Senna's incredible sense of self belief and desire to win sometimes seemed to cross over into a sense of invincibility. It can be hard when you're dealing with people of this level of ability and confidence, to see the difference.
In my opinion, Hamilton needs media coaching more than anything else. He doesn't seem to have quite grasped the concept of diplomacy and subtlety, and today's words biting you on the a** tomorrow, given some of the quotes that have been attributed to him of late.
He reminds me very much of Juan Pablo Montoya. Exhilarating to watch, nigh on uncatchable when on form, prone to stupid mistakes when not, and of course a wonderful habit of opening his mouth and sticking both feet in it! Although Hamilton has yet to call the car "a pile of crap" in an interview, with his technical director and team boss standing behind him!

I laughed out loud when I read that and I think anyone has the right to defend themself when they are being criticised. Whilst Lauda et al may have earnt some right to comment given their achievements in the sport, I think it only right the recipient of their comments has equal right to say 'mind your own business'.
People citing Hamilton's comment as showing a feeling of invincibility, or a lack of respect for the safety of others, I think it utter tripe. Those comments are him poking a pointy stick back in through the cage of those making these criticisms, with a big grin on his face with a very large dose of irony too, seeing just how much more wound up the most vocal nay sayers will get.
I'm not saying 'give Hamilton a break', or defending his role in recent incidents either. I'm saying the guy has a right to comment as much as those commenting. And people should really learn to see the humour in things being said too.

They had Massa on the radio this morning giving Lewis advice...
I'm so bored of this. They are asking everyone who ever held a steering wheel about his driving style and then asking him for his reaction to the comments. Quite rightly he's pointing out that whilst it might be interesting, ultimately all that counts is what happens on a Sunday.

And then being called arrogant for not dipping his cap and saying 'yes they're right'. As you say, it has become utterly ridiculous.I'm so bored of this. Urrr - deliberately crashing into people in an era not known for it's safety? You've worded it far more gingerly than the reality, in my opinion.Well thats how I see it anyway.
