ICE T vs Bernie
Discussion
I missed this controversy a few weeks back so apologise if this has come up
Ice T was in Mclaren's garage at Montreal a few weeks back and posted this video on Youtube.

Which prompted Bernie to send a letter to McLaren, which was circulated to all teams, warning about the posting of F1 videos on YouTube.
In the letter to Whitmarsh, Ecclestone said: "I am quite sure it has been brought to your attention that one of your guests recorded activities in the pits and placed it on YouTube.
"You will understand why I am so strict on access and allowing people in the pits with cameras. Perhaps you would make sure that these things do not happen as it could cause unforeseen problems."
Bernie will say his protecting the brand and the broadcasters that pay all that money for exclusive content - but this is a bit much

there was a case where an australian filmed footage at the australian GP and youtube took it down, he successfully fought them by quoting the relevant australian laws - if you film footage yourself, and there are no legal clauses saying you can't do that (e.g. terms and conditions on the ticket) then you can do what you want with it.
What an Ice-TeeWAT. Is this what his fans want to see? What a cock.
I don’t see this as a money issue with Bernie, which makes a change!
I see this as him not wanting a ‘disgusting*’ video released to a World audience from within the inside of a team in F1, not a positive towards the sport is it.
A shame, as a video diary by a guest of a team would likely be a good watch, but as the teams cannot (!?!) control their behaviour/recording then I can see why Bernie is strict with cameras.
*disgusting – sorry for the daily mail word!

Bernie's letter should have read:
"People like Ice-T aren't welcome in F1...."
Lewis needs to improve his bunch of friends.
We only want those nice, polite English black people. Not those horrible gangsta rapper type ones?"People like Ice-T aren't welcome in F1...."
Lewis needs to improve his bunch of friends.
tting around behind the cameras on the F1 coverage. He didn't come over as a nice person. Reckon Lewis could do a lot better with his friends. (assuming he is his friend and wasnt just one of those random celebs that teams invite)
Personally I thought it was funny - the guy was having a laugh is all - the mechanics seemed to enjoy it. Better that than all the w

Where does it say he was a guest of Lewis? I love the assumption he's Lewis' guest. Is it cos he is black?
