this kind of annoys the s
t out of me, having had the FIA clowns screw the engine regs on the basis that they might be interested in coming out to play, they now say it's not stable enough or has the wrong image...
does this mean that we go though the engine bullst again in time for 2018?

The whole 4 cylinder engine spec was for them, because they said they'd like to enter F1 and it had to be a 4 cylinder engine.
After lots of faffing about they decide they aren't interested after all, hence all the teams drop the 4 cylinder engine like a hot potato and go for a V6 that is easier to package.
Now they say they might be interested in entering in 7 years time ? Do me a favour..
Its almost as if the bosses want to keep on getting invited to the paddock club so they can schmooze with the other VIPs who don't give a toss about racing either.

Was not suggesting that Audi were the only factor, however, they were certainly part of it.
As for Renault, they need to figure out what they want with F1, they have a car with their name still in F1, having said they want out, then try and shove an unpopular engine on F1, yet have still to commit to actually staying in F1?
What this actually comes down to is why do we need/want car manufactures (in the traditional sense) in F1?
you only have to look at what they have done over the years with their coming and going, ie. no long term commitment - asides from Ferrari, no other manufacture has stayed the course have they?
