Racing on Sky Sports

Now I'm pondering upgrading to Sky Sports possibly, can't really afford it though, and just wondering what other racing is on Sky Sports already that might be worth catching if I do upgrade?

NASCARs.

GT1 highlights.

British rally championship.

These are just ones I remember seeing of late .

On the Sky Sports channels themselves you will get F1 (next year), Indycar, Nascar (highlights), DTM (highlights), Speedway (domestic and Grand Prixs)

You also get Eurosport which show Moto GP, World Superbike, WTCC, GP2/GP3/Porsche Supercup (Live/delayed)

You also get Motors TV who show Alms,Superleague Formula, Blancpain Endurance Series, Fia GT3, F2, European F3 Open, International GT Open, Superstars, Superstar GT Sprint, Italian Superbike, Motocross all live as well as highlights of GP2/GP3/Porsche Supercup, An hour long highlights show every night of the days WRC stages.

If you also purchase ESPN you will get FIA GT1 live (also available on bloomberg 502) DTM live/highlights, WRC live power stage

Nascar is live on Premier Sports but for £7 a month unless you enjoy Nascar alot its not worth paying for imo.

Thank you, going to keep my eyes and ears open as just discovered Motors TV so was watching Spa yesterday and this morning.

Box Office events are normally £15 so that figure would be about right.

you still need to pay the basic fee to be able to access them... (to become a sky subscriber).

the fundamental fact is, on average across a month, 0.9 % of all tv viewing is sky sports 1 and 21.0% is BBC1. F1 will be looking at 2-400,000 viewers on Sky I would say.

"What motorsport is shown on sky sports in 2012" is a question you will only have an answer to around this time next year.

Other than F1, Daytona 500 & Indy 500 you can't be sure

One GP last year (can't recall which, but I do recall it wasn't an early morning one) had a 47% share of the TV viewership - not quite the same thing, but impressive nontheless

5 million viewers is really not to be sniffed at these days even in primetime. Looking at the BARB numbers it's about 3 million viewers ahead of anything else not shown in the evenings, and would be top 10 in primetime in any week on the BBC.

Oh yeah, and if you get your multichannel with Virgin, you get Motors and Eurosport without buying the Sport. Bloomberg bizarrely show some GT racing between the financial news too.

I don't understand your point. When the F1 is on, 50 % of all the people in the UK who are watching the telly are watching it.
