Well after a 2 month break the btcc is back at the newly devloped 300 circuit.

Some news over the break, toca has announced a 0.05 bar reduction on all hybrid turbo cars but will over the weekend adjust if neccessery.

A new car is set to debut at the next round the proton gen-2 of welch motorsport is almost finished and should be set to run before the irst practice sessions which will boost the number of cars to 26. With 4 ngtc cars.

The two toyota teams are confident after sorting out problems accured at the begining of the sesion and are hoping for strong results.

AmD have a new driver of martin byford who raced in support champonships and won a champonships.

Rob austin has announced chris swanwich will be testing with the teams and may be out very soon in the 2nd audi.

Gsr have put turbo engines in their bmw and are planing a return at the end of the season.

A new make will join next year TH motorsport will develope a skoda octavia for matt hamilton to drive and will build another if the right driver comes along.

There might be more but cant think of anything else so whos going and whos watching i will be watching at home but hope to be going to silverstone and rockingham.

I'm there for the weekend.

Arriving late Friday afternoon and taking it real easy, not leaving until Monday morning.

Really looking forward to it. Weather forecast is for occasional showers on both days, which should keep the action lively.

If anyone has spare/free ticket they wanna sell (at a reasonable cost) then please PM me.

I will pay full price on the gate if needs be, but I know in the past Ive given away tickets in the car park (when I've had too many myself as part of hospitality.)

Cheers
Matt

That does look nice. very cool, only note why is there such a cleareance between the wheel and the wheel arch.

Looks like frank has improved the toyota and is now ahead of rob should be a intresting battle between them. Cant wait for the vauxhall to enter at the end of the year.

Welch Motorsport are saying the car will have bodywork upgrades for Knockhill, quite possibly for cooling purposes. From photos it looks like the Audi has had some upgrades to the front end as well for cooling.

Look at the Twitter feeds on the right of the page.
They have a technical problem - or maybe they have sold it to Sky!

Some very good drives from frank wrathel, dave newsham and aslo paul o'neil up in the top 10 to. Good start for the proton only 2.2s down on pole for a car which only turned a wheel in anger this morning that is impressive.

Disapointing of neat, griffin, gilham who should be well up there and when there team mates are doing much better griffin the main person he is well of the pace.

Looks like the further boost reduction as closed the grid up again 1s covering the top 12 and 2s covering the top 20 that is very close. Can't wait for the racing to begining and if the track produces better races than last year.

Agreed, thats one hell of an effort from the Proton team and Wrathels time is a blinder, especially compared to the other Toyota!

I was there today! Epic day out, really enjoyed it and got a half decent haul of photos too. Only spotted one smiley - on a blue MX-5 with an H reg plate. Anybodies from here?
