I would just love to see it at the traffic lights next to some geezer in a top flight supercar.W reg Grandad in faded green making an unusual noise, then the lights change. The Cosworth Talbot was good, but the Grandad is King of the cue ships.I wonder if he wants to sell it,Oh dam I'm to old for that sort of thing now.rolleyes

Steven Hendry on the Dover-Calais ferry?

I love that Granada, there was always something menacing about a Fast Granny, perhaps it was because it was the television coppers guv'ner's car of choice (Jack Regan, George Cowley and Spikings off of Dempsey and Makepeace)

Steven Darley managed 194MPH from a standing start in 1Km in his Subaru.

Onboard video of that run, doing 1/4 mile in 9.26 at 155MPH on the way to the 1Km.

About 780BHP without the NOS switched on.
Steven was the Indiviual overall event winner.

Andy Forrest was very close behind in his 6 cylinder Impreza, he was limiting his to 1.7BAR as his strong gearbox/clutch didnt arrive for the event in time, so was taking it easier on his weaker box and clutch. He set a time on the 1/4 mile of 9.22s, which was the fastest of the day, also managed 191MPH from a standing start in the 1KM. That will be a 200MPH+ 8 second car when the new box is sorted. Still road legal as all the cars at this event are.

Just heard Steven Darley has just broken the Harewood Hillclimb Modified Production car class record that has stood since 2004, with a 59.09s run. Great week for Steven and his Impreza.
