In the earlier "Dinner Party" thread I mentioned Peter Scott Russell as the commentator I would invite, and asked if anyone remembered him.

My abiding memories of him were during the late 70's early 80's (?) at Silverstone when his job seemed to consist of interviewing the winners at the end of each race. But in the meantime, during racing, seemed to spend a lot of time in the bar that was located in the old Dunlop Tower on the outside of Woodcote.

At the end of a 7 or 8 race "Clubbie" some of the interviews with the winners of the later races were somewhat "interesting"

I suspect if the world wasn't so bleeding "politically correct" you would find a large proportion of todays commentators VERY "interesting". . thinking of Bob Const D/ MB , & I bet Mad Davie has a tale or two he (just) can't tell (many of them about himself in all likelihood !)

I've had the pleasure of dinner with Brian Jones from Brands on a number of occasions. Always a hoot!

Brian Jones always sounds like he's got a Gin&Tonic in his hand.
