Only the other day PH editor Chris-R sat alongside a driver called Mr McNish to experience what the latest Audi R8 LMS felt like around Silverstone. It's a tough life, we know, but he did have a reason to be there - and that reason was to get a glimpse of what it's like to race in the Autosport 6 Hours of Silverstone, which is taking place over the weekend of the 9th, 10th and 11th September.

Despite the enjoyable passenger ride, the R8 won't actually be racing at the event, as the '6 Hour' is only open to Le Mans cars, meaning McNish will be piloting his R18 TDI against the Peugeot, Aston Martin, Lola and Zytek LMP1 cars. If you've never made it to La Sarthe, this is as close as you'll get on UK shores.

As Autosport is located in the same building as PistonHeads (the nicer bit, naturally), it seemed only fair they offer us a prize package for the event to which they give their name. They agreed this was a fine idea, and so we present our latest competiton (PistonHeads: Giving stuff away matters).

First prize is a pair of tickets to the Autosport 6 hours of Silverstone on Sunday September 11. Your day will include pit and grid walk, hospitality courtesy of ILMC and you’ll get to see behind the scenes of the AF Corse GT2 team. Pleasant.

Everyone is a winner here (unless more than six people enter) as five runners-up will also receive entry tickets and pit walk access.

Not bad, eh? To win, you have to do nothing more taxing than sending an e-mail to [e-mail] (including Autosport 6 hours in the subject line) and we'll pick the six winners at random from Riggers's upturned toupee. Please include your full name and phone number within your e-mail.

Winners will be drawn at midday on Thursday 1st September.

Entered. Hopefully we'll see a repeat of that monumental move Anthony Davidson pulled on McNish through the new Abbey. Best overtake I saw all season in 2010...

Thinking about entering (obviously!) but was wondering if being only 16 is an issue if I happened to win (unlikely!) and If i'd be allowed on the grid walk?

I never heard of having an age limit on grid walks before so I shouldn't worry about it, but I"m happy to be corrected.
