Hi Chaps,

Just wondered if there was any teams on here competing in the Britcar 24hr race? Be interesting to meet up and follow your action that weekend. I will be up there doing a bit of filming and following a few teams progress through the highs and lows. Message me and I'll take some nice photos your car and team that weekend.

Cheers

Yep, MMC Motorsport running their BMW E46 for the Cox family, and a Ginetta G50 in conjunction with Scuderia Vittoira.

Do you know yet what garage you will be in? I'm camping with some family who'd love to get a bit closer to the action, I'm sure they'd be happy to donate to the charity.

Garage plans have yet to be confirmed but shouldn't be too long now.

I'll be there driving the Intersport E46 after a disasterous Barcelona 24hr last weekend frown

Eclipse Motorsport F430 GTC. Car 2.

Car is currently sitting in the truck, looking bored. We are wandering around the workshop in a slightly bemused state as we're all packed and ready to go.

Giant-killing award must go to Carvell Motorsport/Retro Gti who managed a legendary 13th overall in their Mk3 Golf despite being one of the slowest cars in the field. Well done lads!

Very much so. Anyone know what engine it had? Just the fairly cooking 2.0 16v from the GTi of that era?

I read on the DailySportscar that the MG ZR did a complete engine rebuild overnight too.

I don't know too many details, but it looked like a 2L 16v with 4 individual throttle bodies. Running gear fairly standard, open diff etc in a 5 door shell!
