BBC Radio 5LIVE a few moments ago. Just caught the last few seconds of the news item.

Anyone have more information?

He's just tweeted it on Twitter so yep, it's the real deal.

He's not permitted to do anything until he gets a 90% approval rating from the Pistonheads 'Kangeroo Court'
That may take a while........ biggrin

Well some of the Jury are a bit indecisive and the rest just can't make their minds up! biggrin

On the positive side, someone on here shops at the same 'Pound Stretcher' shop as one of Lewis's ex-neighbours former friends, and can say under great authority... They don't know either! hehe

The guy's had one bad season but remains a driver capable of brilliance.

IMO. McLaren will do what they can to keep the pairing together. They have a driver line up comparable to Senna / Prost in many ways but without the handbags and if Lewis can get back to being Lewis the racing driver and not Lewis the A-list celeb (and he will), then the team will be formidable over the coming seasons.

Great news for JB and McLaren IMO.

I'm entertained that a thread about JB has already wandered off onto LH and his supposed problems. PH: Predictability Matters!

So does teamwork.

Button is part of a team which includes another driver ~ spot the connection ~ wink

Aye... Well without drifting the thread too much Jenson's team mate should take a leaf out of Senna's book and not give a flying one!

That's what I thought. I'd read it so many times I thought it was a certainty.
wink

Anyway, it is definitely the best option for Jenson and I can't think of a better one currently for McLaren.

Let's just hope it includes a Le Mans outing in the future...

Lewis, JB and Gary Paffett. yes

It's very good news. JB has shown himself in nothing but a good light this season.

beer That could be something special - it would be nice if LM (and FIA) tweaked the rules enough that a GT could get a sniff of an outright win again: at the moment there is no chance vs LMPs, especially the diesel ones and I don't see McLaren building a LMP car anytime soon

but not next year please, I don't think I'm going to be at the right end of the continent for that!

Nice news for JB.

He seems to be going from strenght to strenght.
