How excited am I.

Just heard (old news to everyone else, probably) that Red bull will make an appearance in MK:

'The show will take place on Saturday December 10 along the full length of Midsummer Boulevard in Milton Keynes, between Centre MK (Saxon Gate) and MK Station (Grafton Gate) and feature two Red Bull Racing Formula One cars, driven by Webber and Vettel.'

Now, you populous of Milton Keynes, where is the best place to stand along that route? And does anyone know when this is due to start - I have no time information?

Many thanks,
Scott

It's gonna be mega. I can't wait.

Bunch of my mates coming from various corners of the UK, then F1, pub, Percys, beer and an epic FIFA session.

If anyone from MK is reading this who hasn't tried Percys, you really need to change that, like, tonight.

^ If you haven't seen (or rather, heard) an F1 car in person, this is essential viewing.

No times post yet though. Hope they do. Not sure I want to be stood around all day.

+1.

Heard them at our GP but never in a street. Really looking forward to this. Will turn up early and sit all day if necessary but nice to know, even if it's just whether it's in a morning or afternoon.

Thx,
Scott

Going to keep my eye on this. Always kick myself for missing out in Hakkinen tearing around Woking in the McLaren.

I saw Barichello going round our local roads in a Stewart

best places are difficult to spot.... just a little problem...Central Milton Keynes two weeks before Christmas will be very busy... add a Red Bull show... Insane... don't come in a car....

I live near the Red Bull factory and will take the train in via Bletchley...

All weather permitting of course. I was in MK around that time last December and it was a total whiteout!

I want to go to this, I only live about 5 mins from the factory. Will probably get the train from belthcley though as someone else suggested

Thought about taking my daughter but I am worried about the noise. Anyone know where I can get proper ear plugs for a 3 year old from?

Wouldn't recommend plugs to such a young child. My daughter would never put anything other than LEGO in her ears at that age hehe
I'd go for full on ear defenders - dunno if the ones from B&Q or Wickes etc. would suffice.

Just an idea but I think I might drive to M1 J13 and get train from Ridgmont stn to Bletchley, then switch trains to MK Central (and there will be a stop off at Bow brickhill stn for a visit to the factory) - not checked feasibility or times yet, though.

Wolverton would be a good bet for getting the train too (where I live). It's about five minutes from MK Central, and easier to get to from M1 than Bletchley I reckon.

Google map it.

As for beverages, I'm not sure. Possibly All Bar One or old Wetherspoons, which are both right on Midsummer Bvd.

It's certainly a bit closer than Bletchley.

However, if my route from Ridgmont is feasible I'll be able to hop off and see the factory either on my way to, or from, MK. But it's worth considering if this route doesn't work. Thanks for letting me know.

I'm up for a bevvy if I'm still around. Let me know.

PS - as soon as someone finds out when the show starts can they post it, please?

Ta.
